A letter from the President of the Republican Trumpeteers of Adams County
The Trumpeteers is the Republican women’s club for Adams County. The Trumpeteers are just finishing a very historical year. As I start my first year as president, I look around and find that there are so many people we can and will count on for guidance in the future. In the words of Ronald Reagan, “I suspect the next few years will test us more than usual, but I know we’re up to it… We’ll have our battles ahead of us, but they’re good battles, and they’re worth fighting for…”
There is so much enthusiasm within the Republican party and in our group. We want to be involved and be part of the process. We want our views to count and help shape not only the Colorado State government but the Federal government as well.
We have a full agenda this year. The General Elections for 2010 are on the way. There are some very promising candidates for Federal and State offices. What is most important is to get to know these candidates. We should get behind them and help whenever possible. We have had some candidates join us at our meetings and other events. Adams County has always been a little short of Republicans, but with all the new development, our numbers have gone up. We want the state to know we are here, and we will be a force they can count.
I am so pleased with the newly elected officers. They are enthusiastic and will be a great group to work with. They all have ideas and experiences to meet the challenges they may encounter to make this year a successful one. There is a place for everyone who wants to join us. We will have projects that could use your talents. Come join us for a busy, successful year.
Thank you,
Carroll Jones
President of Republican Trumpeteers
